4 - Things to consider before Bike Commuting
1. Which route should I take? Before taking the plunge and burning the trails towards your office, take time off and plan a comfortable route to take on. A comfortable route free of heavy traffic, less daunting slopes and nice scenery would help prolong your interest in Cycling to Work. Do a recce of the route you wish to take or seek advice from us on what to look out for when planning for your route.
3. Attire, what should I wear? Now comes the problem… You are cycling to work and bike shorts aren’t exactly the conventional office wear for most office. If you are lucky enough like me to be working in a no-office-attire, congratulations! If not, choose the option of Biking+Public Transport for your journey to work. This way you could still bike in your office wear and minimize the “damage” done to your attire. If long distance is the choice, prepare a set of office attire in the office to change into when you reach the office. Do a research on whether there are bathing facilities within the area or use a wet towel to refresh yourself before work.
4. Party plans tonight... What about my Bike? Ever been in that situation where you receive a last minute invite for a poker game or drinks with the colleagues but your bike can’t come along? We provide that unique service of picking up your bike from office and sending it back home, ready for use the next day. Don’t be surprise if your bike returns cleaner and better, as we love to wash up and service your bike before we return it back to you.
