Once a year, Singapore's roads are fenced up, lighted up and roaring to welcome the F1 Grand Prix.
You would see massive fencing and flood lights lining the city streets and the F1 put building coming alive with all the contractors preparing the VIP stands.

Frankly speaking when I drive through the streets, I can't help feeling like a race car driver and imagining I'm Mark Webber darting past all my competitors "Taxi Drivers". I should probably win a prize as the street racer of Singapore and perhaps they can invite me and my Honda Fit to enter the race!

As a citizen of Singapore, I can't help thinking of how to help our country and earn more to help our economy. So I decided to put on my thinking cap and WALA! A fantastic idea to introduce our Ang Mo racer to our culture!
ERP on the race track! I mean.. How can the organisers not think of this?
Other than just the challenge of racing at night, now racers have to pre plan their route and time it just nice where they pass the gantry at the lowest cost possible! Of course, we cannot degrade these guys with just $3.50, $0.50 charges.. it should be $3,500 at low peak and $6,000 at high peak timing to match their income status! That's what we are doing in Singapore anyway... 
Just a thought... (I reserve the right to charge for commission if this really is put into plans! Singtel please take note.)

As the saying goes, “Good things must come to an end!” . The Morning Express says good bye to it’s dynamic duo, Glenn Ong and The Flying Dutchman. In replacement of FD, we now hear a deeper voice of DJ Veteran Joe Augustine. FD has moved in to duo with Vernetta Lopez on Gold 90.5FM to host a morning show rivaling Class 95’s Morning Express.
Can’t help finding myself toggling between CLASS and GOLD to find the comfortable voices to sooth the morning blues! I so do miss hearing Glenn and FD so now I have to choose between the next best duo, FD and Vernetta Lopex or the crappy fun Glenn Ong and Joe Augustine.
Morning rides to work just turned a tad bit more complicated....

If you woke up today and realise that the skyline greeting you is all hazy and blurred, don't be too alarm as it seems that it's minor remains of the Sumatra Forest Fire.Latest figures from the National Environment Agency website,  showed that the number of hotspots detected in Sumatra decreased to 82 from 199 on Monday. SINGAPORE — The Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will be adjusted at three locations from Monday, Aug 5, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced today (July 29).

The changes come after the LTA’s completed its quarterly review of traffic conditions on ERP-priced roads and expressways. The rates for the other gantries will remain unchanged.
The rates below are for passenger cars.


SOUTHBOUND CTE
ERP rates at the four gantries on the southbound CTE after Braddell Road, and the slip road from the PIE into the southbound CTE, are going up in two half-hour slots. Motorists passing through these four gantries will now pay S$1 between 7am and 7.30am — there was no charge in this half-hour block previously — and S$5 between 7.30am and 8am, up from S$4 previously.

NORTHBOUND CTE BEFORE PIE
The rates at the gantry on the northbound CTE will rise from S$0.50 to S$1 between 5.30pm and 6pm, and from S$1 to S$2 between 6pm and 6.30pm.

ECP (FORT ROAD)
The gantry on the westbound ECP into the city, just past Fort Road, and the gantry on the KPE slip road into the ECP will rise from S$5 to S$6 for the half-hour between 8.30am and 9am.

As we wait patiently for Google Map to decide bringing this in to Singapore, we can surely dream of the vast options of biking route available!

Wanted to trial the Tern Link C7 performance on the road. So packed a light pack for the road and set off at Tpy  to office!
